About Sue

Susan graduated from Speech Pathology over 35 years ago. She has worked in a variety of public and private clinics. She started her own business in 1991 and it has grown to be OneOnOne Children’s Therapy. She took on autism as her special interest 25 years ago. Sue is also very interested in picky eating and established ‘YukToYum’ which another branch of the business. Susan has completed training in many areas of Speech Pathology. She was one of the first Certified ESDM Therapists from the field of Speech Pathology in Australia. Sue was also the first Certified Project ImPACT Coach in Australia when she completed her certification in 2021. She is now a Project ImPACT Trainer Consultant. In her spare time, Sue enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and gardening.

About Danielle

Danielle had worked in a number of private Speech Pathology clinics before she joined the team in 2014. She enjoys working holistically and as part of a team with families, teachers and caregivers to best support the child. Watching her clients progress and reach their potential is the most motivating thing for Dani.

Dani has a special interest in literacy, written expression, and preschool language.

About Lesley

Lesley joined the team in 2018. She enjoys giving clients the tools to communicate and seeing parents being happy with their child’s progress. She is also passionate about helping children learn the skills to interact with other children and their world.

Lesley has always enjoyed working with a multidisciplinary team to improve all areas of the child’s life. She believes that by working as a team with our families, we can provide our clients with a voice and reach their potential. 

Lesley has a special interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), play and social skills, and early childhood language.

About Natalie

Natalie graduated as a Speech Pathologist from The University of Sydney in 2001 and joined our team in 2016. She has always enjoyed working as part of a multidisciplinary team. She is passionate about working with children and their families to unlock each child’s optimal abilities and finding the fun in learning.

Natalie has an affinity and wide-ranging experience in assessing and treating both adults and children with a range of disabilities. She loves the vibrancy, collaboration and amazing gains that working with children bring.

She has extensive experience working towards achieving functional communication goals. Her practical approach to assessment, goal setting and treatment makes your time with her fun yet, challenging and achievable. She utilises a person-centred approach in creating individualised evidence-based treatment approaches and is dedicated to supporting families find practical strategies that they can also incorporate into their home life. Natalie also has years of experience collaborating with preschools, schools, day programs and group homes.

Natalie has comprehensive experience with assessing and treating dysphagia and developing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems for clients who need them.

About Carmel

Carmel qualified in 1998 from University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. She had gain extensive experience in speech Pathology before she joined the team in 2020. Carmel enjoys watching children improve in their speech and language skills, as well as witnessing their self-esteem improve as they make progress in their communication skills.

Carmel values improving the quality of life for clients and their families by improving communication skills. She is also passionate about helping children improve in their school work and self-esteem as a result of that.

Carmel has a special interest in oral motor development, speech sound disorder, early language development, and phonological awareness skills.

About Annika

Annika joined the team in 2020. She enjoys witnessing clients achieving their goals, and seeing the satisfaction on their face when they complete tasks on their own. Encouraging independence is the most rewarding thing to see for Annika. She believes that independence is crucial for various activities and routines. The accomplishment and pride that clients have when they are independent is priceless to her.

Annika has a special interest in gross motor strengthening, particularly working with clients with low muscle tone and hyperextension in their joints. It is particularly rewarding for Annika to see the children’s progress as their confidence and endurance increases.

About Patricia

Patricia has worked with young children and adolescents in both schools and private practice before joining the team in 2021. She has developed skills working with children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, language delays, speech delays and literacy difficulties.

Patricia is passionate about improving the quality of life for her clients and their family, through supporting their communication skills in every aspect of their daily lives. Patricia strives to collaborate with families and other professionals to develop individualised, functional and realistic goals for her clients. Patricia has a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder, early language development, and feeding intervention. Patricia is also passionate about professional development and developing her clinical skills to ensure that she is providing her clients with the highest level of care.

About Cathy

Cathy graduated with a Hons Degree in Psychology from the University of Ulster in Ireland in 2011. Upon moving to Australia, she completed her Diploma of Early Years Education. From all of this her desire of working with children and their families grew.

Cathy has a special interest in Autism and Early intervention. She has extensive experience working within the early years education sector. Having this insight gives Cathy a passion to ensure communication is met throughout the child’s families, therapists and teachers/educators.

Cathy believes that children learn through play. She aims to provide opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine. She always ensures that sessions are enjoyable yet challenging for the child to perform to their optimal ability.

Seeing children achieve their goals each session is the most rewarding and fulfilling thing for Cathy.

About Christopher

Chris has previously worked as a Junior Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Therapist from 2010-2016. Since 2016, Chris became a Certified ESDM Therapist and has worked at various ESDM clinics around Sydney.

Chris has a special interest in Autism early intervention, Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) and building the capacity of parents and educators to support children through their learning and development. Chris is currently completing the Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology).

In his leisure time, Chris enjoys spending time with his partner and family, writing music, cooking and learning something new.

Thomas joined the team in 2021 and he is dedicated to providing assessment and intervention with strong evidence base supported by current literature. Thomas finds it rewarding to support his clients to achieve goals that have further implications upon activities of daily living and quality of life.

Thomas enjoys working collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary team to provide therapy that is individualised, functional and holistic. Thomas is also passionate about ongoing professional development and continued improvement of skills.

About Caomhie

Caomhie is originally from Ireland and graduated as an Occupational Therapist from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh in 2021. She joined the team in 2024 and enjoys supporting children and their families in carrying out their most meaningful occupations.

She is a compassionate Occupational Therapist with much experience in working with individuals across the lifespan. She has a passion in working with children & young people with neurodevelopment and motor difficulties, in addition to working with adults with an intellectual or physical disability.

She enjoys supporting children achieve their goals through play which develops their confidence and independence in carrying out everyday functional tasks.

About NICOLA

Nicola is another one of our Occupational Therapists. She has 4 years experience working in an ASD specific School. She has experience working in the classroom as a part of a transdisciplinary team of teachers, OTs, SPs and music therapists to support learning and skills development for children with ASD and intellectual disability. She also worked in the Early Years Program for 2 years, supporting children before school age develop foundational and school readiness skills.
